Chicago Bears Interim Head Coach Loses 20 Pounds in Less Than a Week After Promotion
Thomas Brown, the interim head coach for the Chicago Bears, has reportedly lost 20 pounds in less than a week after taking on his new role. Brown took over as interim head coach on Friday, replacing the fired Matt Eberflus.
In a recent press conference, Brown revealed that he had started a “weight-loss journey” 20 days ago, but was unable to make progress until he became the interim head coach. “What I realized, if you increase tasks to your day, you forget about food,” Brown said. “And so, I went a couple days and just really didn’t eat. Didn’t even think about it. I wasn’t hungry.”
Brown weighed in at 225 pounds before becoming the interim head coach, but has now shed 22 pounds, losing 20 pounds in less than a week. Despite the sudden weight loss, Brown claims it wasn’t stress-related, but rather a result of being too busy to eat. “I was thinking about the next moment, what to say to this player, doing game planning, and I look up and I’m almost 30 pounds down, so we’ll keep going — see how long it lasts,” Brown said.
Brown’s dramatic weight loss comes as a surprise, given the amount of stress and pressure that comes with being the interim head coach of a struggling team. The Bears have lost six games in a row, despite valiant comebacks against division rivals. Brown’s team is set to face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, and fans are eager to see if the interim head coach can continue his weight-loss journey while leading the team to success.
