Batman’s Recent DCU Debut Comes With An Exciting Tease For The Dark Knight
Batman’s recent debut in the DCU has been a cause for excitement, especially when it comes to the live-action movie, The Brave and the Bold. In the animated series Creature Commandos, episode 6, Batman is shown in a flashback sequence in Gotham City, with a key element that has left fans very excited about the upcoming live-action debut.
The animated debut of Batman is connected to the origins of Doctor Phosphorus, a nuclear scientist turned crime boss, and his entry into Amanda Waller’s custody as a member of Task Force M. This glimpse into the DCU Dark Knight has sparked anticipation about what to expect from the live-action Batman and his iconic cowl in the upcoming movie, The Brave and the Bold.
One notable feature of Batman’s DCU debut is the inclusion of white eyes/lenses on the cowl, a comics-accurate detail that is rarely seen in live-action. This element adds an extra layer of intimidation and fear, as Batman’s eyes become seemingly supernatural, making him even more formidable as a hero.
In live-action, there have only been two instances where Batman has had white eyes, both temporary, in 2008’s The Dark Knight and 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The use of white eyes in these instances was brief and not a permanent feature of the character’s costume.
The upcoming DCU Batman, set to debut in The Brave and the Bold, will be a new take on the character, and it will be interesting to see how Robert Pattinson’s portrayal will incorporate this comics-accurate element. The Brave and the Bold is set to be a reboot of the DC Universe, introducing a new Batman and drawing inspiration from Grant Morrison’s work on the comic book character. The final episode of Creature Commandos is set to air on January 9th, and fans are eagerly awaiting more information on the upcoming movie and the DCU Batman.
