There is a chance that the person who killed UnitedHealthcare CEO Rul Foo was in Atlanta, says authorities. Foo was shot and killed earlier this week while in his office in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The Minneapolis Police Department stated that it is investigating possible sightings of the suspected shooter in Atlanta.
According to the police, they are receiving numerous tips from the public, and a handful of those tips are indicating that the suspect may have been in Atlanta. “We are following up on every lead we can, and this one is one of the leads we are exploring,” said a police spokesperson.
While there is no concrete evidence to support the claim, authorities are investigating the leads thoroughly. “We are doing our best to gather all the information we can to solve this case, and at this point, we are still following up on all the leads we have received,” the police spokesperson added.
UnitedHealthcare, the company that Foo was CEO of, is based in Minnetonka, Minnesota, and is one of the largest health insurance companies in the United States. The company has been working closely with law enforcement to help them identify the killer, and has offered a substantial reward for any information that can lead to the suspect’s capture.
As the investigation continues, authorities are hoping to learn more about the motive behind the killing and to bring the suspect to justice.
