Armie Hammer hints at a 2025 comeback.

Armie Hammer is Making a Quiet Comeback to Hollywood

Actor Armie Hammer, whose career was once thriving, was left reeling after private messages he sent, detailing cannibal-themed sexual role-play, went viral and led to him being dropped by his agency and facing sexual assault accusations. Now, he’s making a quiet comeback to the industry.

Hammer, 36, has completed one new film, Frontier Crucible, and has two more projects in the works. He also has a potential TV show that a studio has signed off on, and he’s been booking roles through his lawyer.

In a new interview with the Your Mom’s House Podcast, Hammer opened up about his past, saying that he sometimes sent graphic, joking messages to sexual partners, laughing as he sent them. He admitted that his understanding of consent has evolved, and that he realizes some of his partners may have thought they were in a long-term relationship.

When asked if his career could still move forward, Hammer said it already is, albeit slowly. He revealed that industry professionals now view him in a different light, saying, “The worm is turning. And it takes time. It’s slow. But generally now the conversation when my name comes up with people in the industry is, ‘Man, that guy got f—ed.’ And that feels really good. It’s really encouraging.”

Hammer also shared his thoughts on his cannibalism-themed role-play, clarifying what he’s interested in and what he’s not, and joked about potentially managing his own career through an 800 number, like Bill Murray. He also talked about his plans to launch his own podcast, and how he now vets his new partners carefully.

Despite the challenges he’s faced, Hammer remains optimistic about his career’s potential, saying, “I think somewhere deep down, subconsciously I wanted to get caught. I think that I so did not relate to the image of me that was out there in the public of sort of like this, ‘Look at them. They’re like, the Ralph Lauren family. They’ve got the perfect life and the perfect house and the perfect kids’… I was like, I feel like a f—ing alien walking around most of the time. Like, I don’t feel like a human. I feel like a creature.”
