Amari Cooper prioritizes winning over personal statistics for the Buffalo Bills.

Amari Cooper Satisfied with Playoff Run Despite Career Lows

Amari Cooper has enjoyed a successful 10-year NFL career, with over 600 catches, 8,000 yards, and 40 touchdowns. However, what’s missing from his career is playoff success. Cooper, 30, is currently enjoying a run to the AFC Championship Game with the Buffalo Bills and wouldn’t trade it for anything.

“I’m very satisfied. I’ve never been this far in the playoffs,” Cooper said. “Winning is way more important and there’s many ways to win. So absolutely no complaints from me, because that’s all I truly wanted.”

Cooper’s selfless approach has blended seamlessly into the Bills’ “Everybody Eats” mantra, which emphasizes the importance of team success over individual statistics. Despite being acquired mid-season, Cooper has adapted quickly and has enjoyed highlight moments, including a touchdown in his debut and a memorable lateral that set up a Josh Allen touchdown.

However, Cooper’s overall production has hit career lows this season, with 44 catches for 547 yards and four touchdowns. He has no issue with this, saying, “You have so many players that are doing their job that they can get the job done without you. So that’s kind of where my ego dies and the pride is put aside for the sake of the team.”

Offensive coordinator Joe Brady credits Cooper for his easy-going approach and notes that his presence on the field instantly draws the attention of opposing defenses. Cooper has enjoyed success in his career, including a national championship in his freshman season at Alabama, but has yet to experience team success in the NFL. He is now two wins away from a championship and is determined to make the most of the opportunity.
