National Lacrosse League Brawl: Toronto Rock’s Elijah Gash Secures Victory in Intense Duel with Buffalo Bandits’ Zack Belter
The National Lacrosse League (NLL) saw a thrilling brawl unfold during Friday’s match between the Toronto Rock and the Buffalo Bandits. In the third quarter, Rock defender Elijah Gash engaged in a fierce fight with Bandits defender Zack Belter.
The altercation began when Belter, upset over a hit from Gash, confronted him. As both players dropped their gloves, Gash gained the upper hand, connecting with a right hand that sent Belter to the mat. Gash, the son of former NFL fullback Sam Gash, was able to command the fight and secure a win for his team.
The game ultimately saw the Buffalo Bandits come out on top, defeating the Toronto Rock 15-13. Despite this, Rock Coach praised the team’s fighting spirit, saying, “Great teams find a way to win at the end of the day, and we’re trying to find out our identity.” The Bandits, led by their 4-0 start, will look to next face the Philadelphia Wings.
For some, the NLL is seen as the equivalent of an NHL-style brawl, and actions like these can be memorable and intense.
