Alix Earle shares her cringe-worthy experience after telling her NFL boyfriend she loves him.

Alix Earle, a 23-year-old social media influencer and podcast host, recently celebrated her one-year anniversary with her NFL boyfriend, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Braxton Berrios. In a recent podcast interview, Earle revealed that she was the one to first utter the three words “I love you” in their relationship, but Berrios didn’t exactly reciprocate immediately.

Earle recalled the moment, which occurred before the Dolphins’ first game of the season, stating that she said “I love you” as Berrios was about to leave for the game. He looked at her, seemingly taken aback, and then quickly departed for the locker room without responding in kind. Earle spent the entire game dwelling on the interaction, wondering what it meant.

It wasn’t until a day later that Berrios finally responded to Earle’s declaration of love, with her describing the situation as a bit awkward. Earle joked that Berrios thought she might have been drunk when she made the confession, and he didn’t feel the need to reciprocate.

Despite the initial hesitation, the couple has been going strong, with Earle praising Berrios on social media, saying, “I didn’t know I was capable of this type of love & I feel like I have truly found my other half! I love you.” Berrios, 29, has also been open about their relationship, with the two having attended the University of Miami and sharing a strong connection.
