Aidan O’Connell exits game with knee injury, diagnosed with bone bruise.

It’s been a tough year for the Oakland Raiders quarterbacks, with O’Connell just returning from a broken thumb suffered in Week 7. He took over as the starter after Gardner Minshew was traded to another team due to a season-ending broken collarbone in Week 12.

However, O’Connell’s latest injury was just as severe. In the third quarter of a loss to Tampa Bay, he was hit hard in the back by Calijah Kancey and his left leg was put in an air cast. He was carted away from the field, fearing the worst.

Despite the concerns, O’Connell may not be done for the season. AOC has started four of six games this year, completing 63.2% of his passes for 899 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions.
