Three tech CEOs, Larry Ellison of Oracle, Sam Altman of OpenAI, and Masayoshi Son of Softbank, have joined forces in President Donald Trump’s multi-billion dollar artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure project. The project, called Stargate, aims to build data centers in the U.S. to power AI. The initial investment for the project will be $100 billion, with plans to expand to $500 billion over the next four years.

The first data center built under the initiative will be in Texas, and it will eventually expand to other states. The project is expected to have a significant impact on various industries, including healthcare, where it could lead to the development of vaccines that prevent cancers and personalized medicine that prevents the spread of diseases like COVID-19.

According to Ellison, the Stargate investment has the potential to bring about a “revolution” in medicine and other industries. He believes that the investment will pay off with benefits such as vaccines that prevent cancers and early warning systems that detect diseases before they become epidemics.

Altman of OpenAI emphasizes the need for AI pioneers to be “responsible” and develop the technology “carefully” to ensure that it is used for the betterment of humanity. He believes that people will use the technology for good and that the scale of the investment shows the huge potential of the technology.

Son of Softbank believes that big capital is needed to invest in the project and that Trump’s leadership will usher in a golden age in America. The White House has secured $1 trillion in private investment for various projects in the U.S., according to a White House official.
