Adrian Peterson in Legal Trouble Again, Warrants Out for His Arrest

Ad

Adrian Peterson, the 2012 NFL MVP, is in legal trouble once again. According to USA Today, warrants have been issued for his arrest in Fort Bend County, Texas, for failing to appear in court for two different child support cases.

The warrants were issued despite Peterson’s publicist, Denise White, stating that the former Minnesota Vikings running back is “actively working with his legal team to resolve this matter as quickly as possible” and is committed to “clearing up this situation and moving forward positively.”

This is not the first time Peterson has gotten into legal trouble. In 2014, he was indicted on charges of reckless or negligent injury to a child after he was accused of disciplining his 4-year-old son with a tree branch, resulting in serious injuries. He pleaded no contest to the charge.

Additionally, Peterson has been in trouble with bank loans. Court records show that he has failed to pay off debts, including an $8.3 million loan and a $2.4 million loan to a Minnesota bank.

Peterson has had a successful NFL career, earning over $100 million and leading the league in rushing three times. He also holds the record for most rushing yards in a single game with 296, which he accomplished in his rookie season.
