Kash Patel, President Donald Trump’s nominee to lead the FBI, faced lawmakers in a confirmation hearing on Thursday, clashing with several Democrats, including Sen. Adam Schiff of California. During the hearing, Schiff accused Patel of unacceptable behavior, including raising money off of people who assaulted law enforcement officers. Patel responded, saying that the accusations were an “abject lie” and that he had never accepted violence against law enforcement.
Former Congressman Devin Nunes, who appeared on “The Will Cain Show,” criticized Schiff’s performance, calling him an “embarrassment” and stating that he had an “ax to grind” with Patel. Nunes also noted that Schiff had previously been a U.S. Representative, but was no longer in the House.
Pundit Devin Nunes also expressed confidence that the Democratic attacks on Patel will ultimately backfire, stating that the American people will grow tired of Schiff’s antics and be “sad that he entered the U.S. Senate.”
