Blake Lively Denounces Justin Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios for Alleged Sexual Harassment and Retaliation
Blake Lively has filed a 10-claim complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, alleging that director and co-star Justin Baldoni and his production company Wayfarer Studios engaged in a campaign of sexual harassment and retaliation against her during and after the production of the film “It Ends With Us”. Lively, who is also an actress and wife of Ryan Reynolds, claims that Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios created a hostile work environment and engaged in “Astroturfing” to discredit her and silence her.
According to the complaint, Lively faced a “coordinated effort to destroy her reputation” after she spoke up about the misconduct on set, and Baldoni and his company allegedly launched a “sophisticated press and digital plan” to intimidate her and others from speaking out about what happened. The complaint also alleges that Lively’s HR concerns were repeatedly rebuffed, and that the company’s efforts to create a safe and respectful workplace were consistently ignored.
The complaint claims that Lively was subjected to sexual harassment, including being shown nude videos and images, and being pressured to engage in inappropriate behavior. It also alleges that Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios engaged in a range of other inappropriate behavior, including displaying pornography, discussing XXX addictions, and using sexually inappropriate language.
Lively’s complaint also describes the impact of the alleged harassment and retaliation on her personal and professional life, including the toll it has taken on her mental and physical health, her relationships with her family, and her ability to pursue her career.
Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, has denied the allegations, describing them as “completely false, outrageous, and intentionally salacious” and claiming that Lively’s actions are part of an effort to “fix” her negative reputation.
