The southern state of Texas is grappling with a crisis as a staggering number of newborn babies have been found abandoned and discarded in trash bins, sparking widespread concern and outrage. According to authorities, the majority of these cases have taken place in Houston, with over 100 reported incidents of newborns being discovered in dumpsters and other unauthorized dumping sites in just the past few months alone.

The vast majority of the abandoned newborns have been female, with ages ranging from a few hours old to just a few days. Medical experts have weighed in, stressing that the likelihood of survival decreases drastically for infants found in these conditions.
