Raunchy texts between ex-Fox News anchor Ed Henry and a young female staffer who accused him of raping her, have been revealed in a new legal filing, threatening to undercut her shocking claims of rape.
According to Henry’s lawyers, the texts show an enthusiastic and consensual relationship between the two, including kinky sex acts and explicit photos. Henry claimed that the sex acts were agreed upon beforehand, and that Eckhart, 34, initiated them.
Just days after Eckhart accused Henry of rape, she texted him: "You wanna f me," "Come spread them and slide my bikini off," and "Fing dirty boy. I love it." The two also exchanged photos, including ones of naked women.
Henry’s lawyers claimed that Eckhart had cherry-picked excerpts of their text conversations to cast him as a rapist, and that the physical encounter involved Henry hitting her with a belt and restraining her with handcuffs. However, Henry claimed that the sex was rough, but agreed upon beforehand, and that Eckhart "sent Ed a photograph of a belt" and told him that she would "always obey and make myself available to u."
Henry’s lawyers also revealed that Eckhart had continued sexting with him after the alleged rape, and that their relationship had included numerous references to rough, consensual sex.
Henry has been married to NPR Managing Editor Shirley Henry since 2010, and has been embroiled in numerous sex scandals, including an affair with a Las Vegas stripper and a claim of sexual harassment from a former Fox guest news analyst.
