Harp, 33, has worked alongside the president-elect throughout his campaign and the transition, since 2022. She is expected to join the president at the White House for his second term and will have an “important role” in the White House, according to Trump Transition Team sources.

Several top lawmakers, governors, and members of Trump’s team described Harp as a “valuable resource” for getting information to the president “in a timely manner.” Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wy., said Harp is “in regular communication with me and other senators and members of Congress via text message” and is “the person to talk to” if he needs to get a message to the president.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., also praised Harp, saying she is “the person to talk to” if he needs to get something to the president and that she is “very dedicated to the president – she is very loyal and always professional and always polite.”

Harp has been credited with creating a “mobile office” for the president during the campaign, which allows him to stay “accessible” and get breaking information in real-time. She also regularly communicates with a network of allies, sending news clippings and polling members of Congress on timely issues and legislation.

Harp said that “confidentiality, speed, accuracy, and adaptability” are “the nature of the job” and that the president deserves nothing less. She also credited Trump’s accessibility and willingness to listen to her and others as key to their success.

Harp has been a key player in the Trump campaign and transition, traveling with the president throughout the campaign and spending days in court as he battled now-dismissed cases against him. She has also been with him during both assassination attempts in July and September.

Harp’s personal story is also inspiring, as she battled and survived stage 2 bone cancer and credits Trump’s 2018 “Right to Try” law with saving her life. She has spoken publicly about her experience and has appeared on Fox News to share her story.

Incoming White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller described Harp as “one of the hardest working, most loyal and most talented staffers I have ever worked with” and said she is “a phenomenal asset to President Trump.”
