A Tough Weekend for Miami Fans and Their Mascot

Ad

It was a dismal weekend for Miami fans, and things got even worse for their beloved mascot, Sebastian the Ibis. During the game against Syracuse, Wenskoski, a reporter for CNY Central, claimed that Sebastian hit on her on the sidelines while she was covering the game.

Sebastian, the University of Miami’s mascot, allegedly kneeled down and asked for Wenskoski’s number during a crucial moment of the game. Wenskoski joked that it seemed as though Sebastian had bigger things to worry about, referring to the fact that Miami was struggling to stay in the game.

Syracuse, on the other hand, had a remarkable comeback, rallying from a 21-point deficit to win the game 42-38. Quarterback Kyle McCord had a standout performance, completing 26 of 36 passes for 380 yards and three touchdowns.

It appears that Sebastian’s main concern was not on the game, but rather on getting Wenskoski’s number. In response to the harsh spotlight, Sebastian’s social media channel had this to say: “They do anything for clout.” Despite the awkward moment, Wenskoski and others couldn’t help but praise Syracuse’s victory and the impressive performance by their quarterback, Kyle McCord.
