Vladimir Putin has vowed to massively increase his arsenal of Oreshnik missiles as he continues to blitz Ukraine, causing widespread destruction and leaving almost a million people without power. The Russian tyrant boasted about his new hypersonic war toy during a speech in Kazakhstan, claiming it is unbeatable and can reach speeds of Mach 10.
The Oreshnik missile is capable of reaching temperatures of 4,000 degrees and can be used to destroy entire buildings, leaving them in a state of dust and debris. Putin has also threatened to use the weapon again, saying it is capable of causing damage comparable to nuclear weapons.
The missile was tested for the first time last week, with footage circulating online showing warheads raining down from the sky. Putin has promised to continue producing the Oreshnik missile, with production set to rise by 30%.
The attack on Ukraine was in response to Kiev’s use of Western long-range weapons, with Putin claiming that Russia has “ten times more” systems in place. US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink woke up to find the whole country filled with red, symbolizing the threat of Russian attacks.
The United Nations has warned that Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure could make this winter the “harshest since the start of the war.” Zelensky had a call with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss Russia’s “aerial terror.”
