Ad

Lil Wayne has responded to Kendrick Lamar’s comments about Super Bowl performances, stating that Kendrick was “partially right” in his criticism. In a recent interview, Kendrick Lamar expressed his dissatisfaction with artists who play the Super Bowl halftime show, claiming that it is “the day where people typically do not take their music serious.”

Lil Wayne appeared on an episode of the newfound respect show with Dominique Sachse, where he addressed Kendrick’s comments. Lil Wayne acknowledged that not everyone takes the Super Bowl performance seriously, but also expressed that it’s an opportunity to reach a wider audience. He also mentioned that it’s possible to still make a statement and do something meaningful through the performance.

It’s worth noting that Lil Wayne performed at the 2010 Super Bowl XLIV halftime show alongside Shaquille O’Neal, where he performed his hit single “Let the Bass Go.”
