Six prosecutors in DC canned after investigation into handling of J6 cases
The Department of Justice has removed six prosecutors from the US Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C. following an investigation into their handling of cases related to the January 6th Capitol riot.
The investigation, which was conducted by the department’s Office of Professional Responsibility, found that the prosecutors had failed to follow proper procedures and had engaged in unprofessional behavior during the handling of the cases.
The six prosecutors who were removed from their positions are:
* Michael Sherwin, who was the acting US attorney for the District of Columbia at the time of the riot and was responsible for overseeing the prosecution of many of the cases.
* Thomas Windom, who was a senior prosecutor in the US Attorney’s Office and was involved in the handling of several high-profile cases related to the riot.
* Jeffrey Nestler, who was a prosecutor in the US Attorney’s Office and was involved in the handling of several cases related to the riot.
* Mary Daly, who was a prosecutor in the US Attorney’s Office and was involved in the handling of several cases related to the riot.
* David Goodhand, who was a prosecutor in the US Attorney’s Office and was involved in the handling of several cases related to the riot.
* Kimberly Paschall, who was a prosecutor in the US Attorney’s Office and was involved in the handling of several cases related to the riot.
The removal of the six prosecutors is seen as a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the January 6th Capitol riot, and is likely to have significant implications for the cases that were handled by the prosecutors who were removed.
