UFC President Dana White Reacts to Bryce Mitchell’s Comments on Adolf Hitler
UFC President Dana White expressed his strong disgust at a recent podcast episode featuring featherweight fighter Bryce Mitchell, in which Mitchell praised Adolf Hitler and made anti-Semitic and homophobic remarks. Mitchell claimed Hitler was a “good guy” who wanted to “purify” Germany and eliminate Jews and LGBTQ individuals.
White spoke at the start of his Power Slap press conference, saying, “I’m beyond disgusted… Hitler is one of the most disgusting and evil human beings to ever walk the face of the earth… Anybody that even tries to take an opposing position is a moron.”
White emphasized his belief in free speech, even if he strongly disagrees with the content. He acknowledged that Mitchell’s comments were disgusting and ignorant, but emphasized that Mitchell has the right to express his opinions. White also praised Mitchell’s resilience, stating that the fighter “took a drill through his nut sack, then had to reverse it and pulled the drill back out of his… that’s the level of stupid that we’re talking about here.”
Despite his strong opposition to Mitchell’s views, White stated that the UFC will not punish Mitchell for his comments. He concluded by saying, “We don’t have to agree with it. We don’t have to like it… Bryce Mitchell has a podcast… but that’s the world that we live in now. Dumb people, people who are really stupid and really ignorant, can have a voice.”
