Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts cleared the air regarding a recent comment he made about head coach Nick Sirianni. During last week’s postgame media availability, Hurts joked that Sirianni “let him out of his straitjacket” after the Eagles’ NFC Championship game victory over the Washington Commanders.
However, on Friday, Hurts clarified that his comment was simply a joke, meant to convey his appreciation for Sirianni’s coaching style. Sirianni echoed Hurts’ sentiment, saying that he thought Hurts was “having fun” after the game and that their relationship is stronger than ever.
The “straitjacket” comment came as a surprise to some, given that Hurts and Sirianni reportedly had a tense relationship throughout much of the 2023 season. However, the duo’s dynamic has changed in recent weeks, with the Eagles winning their last 15 games and making it to Super Bowl LIX.
The team will face the Kansas City Chiefs on February 9 at the Caesars Superdome. The game will be streamed live on Tubi in 4K, and viewers can sign up to watch via email registration.
