Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, and Kash Patel testified before Senate committees on Capitol Hill on Thursday as the confirmation process for President Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominations moves forward. Kennedy, Trump’s nominee for secretary of Health and Human Services, faced his second day of questioning on the Hill, clashing with Democratic senators over abortion and vaccines.

Gabbard, Trump’s nominee for national intelligence director, appeared before the Senate Intelligence Committee, while Patel, Trump’s nominee for FBI director, testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Other nominees, including Daniel Driscoll for Army secretary, Elise Stefanik for UN ambassador, and Brooke Rollins for Agriculture Secretary, also testified or will soon be voting on by Senate committees.

The confirmation process requires a majority vote in the Senate, and Majority Leader John Thune can file a motion to end Senate floor debate, triggering a cloture vote. Once confirmed, a nominee can take office.

As of Thursday, seven of Trump’s Cabinet nominations have been confirmed, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and others.
