Bluesky Violating EU Regulations by Failing to Disclose Important Details

Ad

Bluesky, a rapidly growing social media platform, is violating EU regulations by failing to disclose important details, according to a European Commission spokesperson. During a daily briefing on Monday, the spokesperson stated that all platforms in the EU, including small ones below the threshold, must have a dedicated page on their website stating the number of users they have in the EU and their legal establishment.

As of today, Bluesky has failed to provide this information, said the spokesperson. The European Commission has not yet reached out to the company, as it falls below the threshold and is not classified as a Very Large Platform under the EU’s Digital Services Act. Instead, the commission has contacted the 27 national governments to check if they can find any trace of Bluesky.
