A Reverend Speaks at the National Pro-Life Summit and Mimics the Nazi-Like Gesture Made by Elon Musk
During the National Pro-Life Summit in Washington, D.C., Reverend Calvin Robinson delivered a speech and mimicked a Nazi-like gesture, drawing parallels to the one made by Elon Musk during President Donald Trump’s inauguration in early January. Robinson, a 39-year-old with a history of involvement in conservative politics in the UK, has also been a prominent figure in Britain’s Christian right.
In his speech, Robinson stated that America is the only country fighting for life and praised the efforts of pro-life advocates. The gesture he used, with his right hand on his chest and then extending his arm outward with his palm facing the ground, was met with laughter and applause from the crowd.
Robinson has made a name for himself in conservative politics, having run for office as a member of the Conservative Party and being connected to right-wing organizations. He has also been a spokesman for the UK Independence Party. The gesture, which was reminiscent of the Nazi salute, sparked comparisons to the earlier incident involving Musk, which many deemed to be inappropriate and linked to the political movement that led by Adolf Hitler.
While it’s unclear if Reverend Robinson intended to make a connection to the Nazi party, the timing of his gesture and performance raises concerns.
