Casanova, From Prison, Calls Tory Lanez His ‘Inspiration’
Rapper Casanova is calling out his “inspiration” while serving a sentence in prison. In a recent Instagram post, the Brooklyn native paid tribute to fellow rapper Tory Lanez, who he claims enabled him to polish his craft.
In the photo, Casanova is seen flexing his bars, dressed in a striking white prison uniform. In the caption, he writes, “My inspiration is my best bud @torylanez. Your rhymes inspired me to grind harder, to improve, to push the limits. I couldn’t have done it without you, my son, my brother, my rap family. #Inspiration #Blazin'”
It’s unclear what exactly Casanova means by saying that Lanez was his inspiration, as the two rappers have not been publicly associated with each other prior to this post. The full extent of their relationship remains unclear, but it’s clear that Casanova holds Lanez in high regard.
This is not the first time Casanova has received support from his fellow artists while behind bars. In a separate social media post, he also thanked his fans, stating, “My fans, my people, my family. You sitting there, you believing in me, you giving me energy, day and night. I’m blessed to be here. I know I’m in this position, but you making it bearable. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
