Philadelphia Eagles Defensive End Brandon Graham’s Super Bowl Return in Jeopardy

Ad

As the Philadelphia Eagles head to the Super Bowl in New Orleans, veteran defensive end Brandon Graham’s potential return from a Week 12 triceps injury is uncertain. On his WIP radio show, Graham stated that he’s taking it “one day at a time” and didn’t rule out a return from injured reserve.

Graham, the hero of Super Bowl LII, is in his 15th season with the Eagles and was initially planning to retire after the 2024 season. However, his injury might have altered those plans. He could also be motivated to reconsider his retirement if he wins a second Super Bowl title.

The 36-year-old had 3.5 sacks in 11 games this season. Despite feeling good more than two months after his injury, he emphasized the importance of building muscle and getting stronger to avoid re-injuring his triceps.

While the Eagles have other talented defensive ends, such as Nolan Smith, Josh Sweat, and Jalyx Hunt, having a veteran with Super Bowl experience like Graham could still be beneficial, even if only for a short stint.
