Houston Texans Part Ways with Team President Greg Grissom
The Houston Texans announced on Thursday that they have “amicably” parted ways with team president Greg Grissom. Grissom, who has been with the franchise since its inaugural season in 2002, had held the role of president since March 2021.
In a statement, owner and CEO Cal McNair expressed his gratitude to Grissom, citing his contributions to the organization and the initiatives he implemented to help the team evolve and grow. “We want to thank Greg for his contributions to the organization,” McNair said. “We will provide updates regarding the team’s next president in the coming days.”
Grissom also released a statement, expressing his pride in his accomplishments during his nearly 25-year tenure with the Texans. “Leading the Houston Texans business operations has been the opportunity of a lifetime,” he said. “I am thankful for the relationships I’ve built with my teammates, the McNair family, and our passionate fans. These connections will always hold a special place in my life.”
As team president, Grissom oversaw a wide range of responsibilities, including marketing, business analytics, and corporate partnerships, among others. Prior to his promotion to team president, Grissom held various roles within the organization, including senior vice president of corporate development and lead developer in business and sponsorship development.
