A Philadelphia Eagles fan, identified as Ryan Caldwell, has lost his job at a New Jersey-based consulting firm, BCT Partners, after a viral video showed him getting into a confrontation with a female Green Bay Packers fan at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday.
The video, which was recorded by the woman’s fiancé, shows Caldwell calling the woman a “dumb c—” and taunting her fiancé with other disgusting gestures. The fan’s employer condemned his conduct in the strongest possible terms, saying that his behavior was “vile, disgusting, unacceptable, and horrific” and had no place in the workplace or society.
The company, which focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion, stated that it had parted ways with Caldwell due to his actions, which were “inconsistent with our company values of respect, dignity, and inclusion.” The company also apologized to the victim and committed to gender equity and fostering a culture of respect and dignity for all.
Caldwell’s fiancé, Alexander Basara, posted the video on social media and wrote that he did not want to get into a physical altercation with Caldwell. He also mentioned that not all Eagles fans are the same and that this incident was “out of line.”
The fan has also been banned from all games at Lincoln Financial Field.
