Deion Sanders Suggests He’d Leave Colorado to Coach His Sons in the NFL
Deion Sanders, the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, appeared to throw in a caveat to his previous statement that he planned to stay with the team for the long term. In an interview on “GMA3,” he suggested that the only way he would ever leave the university to coach in the NFL is if he had the opportunity to coach his sons, Shedeur and Shilo.
Sanders emphasized that he loves his time at Colorado, loves the Buffaloes, and loves the university, but he would be open to leaving if he could coach his sons in the league. This could potentially be a strong motivator, especially given the 2024 NFL Draft approaching.
The only way I would consider it is to coach my sons,” Sanders said, putting an emphasis on “sons,” suggesting he would want to coach both Shedeur and Shilo.
As for his sons’ NFL prospects, Shedeur is expected to be one of the top players taken in the draft, with five NFL teams having head coach openings. However, it would take a special set of circumstances for both boys to end up on the same team, even if Deion were to become their coach.
