In a recent interview, Kennedy expressed his frustration with the lack of progress in defeating the terrorist organization, saying, “ISIS is still out there, and they’re still killing people. They’re still beheading people. They’re still blowing up buildings. And we’re not doing enough to stop them.”

Kennedy also criticized the Biden administration’s handling of the situation, saying, “The Biden administration has been asleep at the switch when it comes to ISIS. They’ve been so focused on withdrawing troops from Afghanistan that they’ve neglected the real threat, which is ISIS.”

The senator went on to say that he believes the lack of a clear strategy to defeat ISIS is a result of the administration’s “soft-on-crime” approach, saying, “The Biden administration is more interested in being popular with the far-left than in actually winning the war against terrorism. They’re more interested in being liked than in being effective.”

Kennedy also expressed his support for the Trump administration’s efforts to defeat ISIS, saying, “The Trump administration had a clear strategy to defeat ISIS, and it was working. They were making progress, and they were killing terrorists. But the Biden administration has abandoned that strategy and is now trying to negotiate with terrorists.”

The senator’s comments come as the US is facing a growing threat from ISIS, with the terrorist organization regrouping in the Middle East and carrying out attacks around the world.
