Homestead Interview: Bailey Chase & Jesse Hutch On Surprise Franchise, Green Beret Training & Working With Angel Studios
As we dive deeper into the world of indie films, it’s always exciting to discover new talent and innovative projects. Two fresh faces in the industry are Bailey Chase and Jesse Hutch, who are both part of the surprise franchise Homestead. We had the chance to sit down with the duo to discuss everything from their early days on the project to their intense green beret training, and even what it’s like working with the esteemed Angel Studios.
Starting with the beginning, I had to know: what draws them to this particular project? “For me, it was the script,” explains Bailey. “I got the script and I knew I had to be a part of this story. I fell in love with the characters, and I fell in love with the world they’re in. I knew I wanted to bring this to life in any way I could.”
Jesse agrees: “I knew it was a passion project for [writer-director] Austin Falk. I could tell from the script that it wasn’t just a money-grab, it was something that he truly cared about doing. And that’s what drew me in – I wanted to be a part of a project that was made with love and care.”
One of the most impressive aspects of Homestead is its intense action sequences, which Bailey points to as a major draw for her. “I think the action scenes, especially, are some of the most well-done I’ve ever seen. The green beret training that we went through was insane! We pushed ourselves to our limits, and it shows on screen. I think people will be blown away by what they see in this movie.”
Jesse concurs: “That training was no joke. We really went through it to prepare, physically, mentally, and emotionally. When you watch the movie, you’ll see what it’s like – we laid it all out on the table. And I think that’s what makes it real, and that’s what keeps it grounded and authentic.”
As for working with Angel Studios, both actors speak highly of the experience. “Angel Studios is incredible,” Bailey raves. “The way they support their cast and crew, the way they treat everyone like family… it’s a real joy to be a part of. They really care, and that shows in the end product.”
Jesse nods in agreement: “I totally agree. It’s like having a big family – everyone works together, everyone listens, everyone supports each other. That’s what makes it all work. And when you’re doing that, you can really create something special, which I think we have here.”
As Homestead enters the film world, it’s clear that Bailey and Jesse are thrilled to be a part of it. With the green beret training under their belts and Angel Studios backing them up, this surprise franchise has a lot to offer. In the end, it’s all about the passion and love poured into every frame.
