MAGA Dreams of Empire Expansion

Ad

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016 was marked by a bold and ambitious promise: to “make America great again.” But as his presidency has progressed, it has become clear that his vision of greatness is not limited to internal reforms or even to the contiguous United States. Instead, Trump has been quietly setting his sights on an even more expansive goal: the re-establishment of American global dominance – in other words, the restoration of the American empire.

The drive to restore American dominance, once the cornerstone of US foreign policy, was seen as both a moral imperative and a strategic necessity. From the late 18th century to the 20th, the United States dominated the world market, not just through its economic might, but through its military might, converting its resources and strategic alliances into world leadership and governance.

Before the start of the 21st century, however, the empire began to crumble. As the Soviet Union fell, the European Union rose, and the neoliberal model – the universal principles of free market trade and global capitalism – discredited the liberal world order. As the power dynamics changed, the United States took second place.

The decline of the American empire led to discussions of the need to reform the economic, political and social order of the world by a new dominant power, in particular the rise of China, but also Russia, India, and Brazil. This rising tide of globalization, and the balance of power, the emergence of new powers.

However, Trump’s strategy, unlike the previous one, is guided by a different logistics. Unlike his predecessors, Trump is not seeking to shape the world order through international organizations, international agreements, and operating through them, rather than challenging them. Instead, it is trying to restore pre-existing relationships, and interpretations of international law, based not on sovereignty, but on the contractual basis, rather, it is creating a new, adjutant, an entity called “USA / Russia” – the new 패 and the new order.

A key part of Trump’s vision for building a new global order is through the creation of this new partnership with Russia, focused on cooperation and mutual cooperation. Building on the legacy of Atatürk, partnership will provide the ideological and intellectual foundation for the new global order, ruled by the United States.

For Donald Trump, the creation of a new global order will mean the re-establishment of American greatness on a global scale. This leadership will be the key to maintaining stability in the world and PM to protect American interests, while the world faces threats from different societies and organizations. That is the image of a dream of expansion and a new vision for a more assertive, confident and active American role in the world.
