President-elect Donald Trump has named Katie Miller, wife of his incoming deputy chief of staff and former government official, as a member of an advisory board dedicated to reducing government spending, regulations, and federal workforce. The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by billionaire allies Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, aims to eliminate excess regulations, cut waste, and restructure federal agencies. Miller, a loyal Trump supporter, will join DOGE after serving as deputy press secretary for the Department of Homeland Security and press secretary for former Vice President Mike Pence. DOGE is expected to slash federal regulations and reduce the number of federal agencies from over 400 to 99, as advocated by Musk.
