New England Patriots Place Defensive Lineman Christian Barmore on Reserve Non-Football Illness List

Ad

The New England Patriots announced today that they are placing defensive lineman Christian Barmore on the reserve non-football illness list after he experienced recurring symptoms that required further evaluation. The team has announced that Barmore will be out for the remainder of the season, citing a commitment to the health and well-being of the player.

Barmore, 25, was activated last month after missing the first 10 games of the season and played in the past four games for New England. In that time, he totaled six tackles and one sack.

A second-round pick by the Patriots in 2021, Barmore has made a significant impact in his career, recording 13.5 career sacks, 139 tackles, 33 QB hits, nine passes defensed, and a forced fumble in 48 career games. His impressive performance in 2023, which included 8.5 sacks, earned him a four-year, $83 million extension in April.
