Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has put to rest any speculation about trading star pass rusher Micah Parsons. In his weekly radio spot on 105.3 The Fan, Jones said, “That’s never been uttered in this organization that we don’t have a future with Micah Parsons.” This statement comes after NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Cowboys plan to evaluate their top-heavy spending after giving contracts to Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, with CEO Stephen Jones suggesting that the team may need to restructure to accommodate their star players.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Parsons’ future, the player has expressed no hard feelings about the business side of his career. “I understand how that business side goes,” Parsons said. “Listen, no hard feelings in this business whether I’m here or anywhere else. Obviously, I’ve stated how I wanted to be here. But at the end of the day, I understand the business side, and I put in a lot of work. I play hard, too. Obviously, if sides can’t agree to those types of things, it happens like that.”

As the Cowboys prepare for another offseason filled with salary discussions, the question remains: how much will Parsons cost the team? Will it be between $30 million and $40 million, making him the highest-paid edge rusher in the league, or will he settle for a lesser deal? Only time will tell.
