Deion Sanders Commits to Colorado Buffaloes, Won’t Leave for NFL
Deion Sanders, the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, has confirmed that he has no plans to leave Boulder for the foreseeable future. Despite being a name floated around as a potential candidate for his former team, the Dallas Cowboys, Sanders has doubled down on his commitment to the Buffaloes.
During a recent appearance on “The Pacman Jones Show,” Sanders expressed his love for Colorado and his intention to finish his coaching career with the Buffaloes. “I love where I am. I’m elated [about] where I am. I’m happy where I am. I can’t wait to see what the future holds with where I am, and I love Boulder, Colorado,” he said.
Sanders has already made a significant impact at Colorado, coaching the team to a 9-3 record and their first bowl game since 2020 in his second season. He has also coached star player Travis Hunter to win the Heisman Trophy and his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, is expected to be a top pick in this year’s draft.
Travis Hunter has also spoken out about Sanders’ future, saying “He ain’t going nowhere. He’s going to be right where he’s at right now.” Colorado will face BYU in the Alamo Bowl on December 28.
