It’s about every single one of my colleagues who worked on these cases, who worked on the Steele dossier, who worked on+’_usr&=’ July 2016 incident, who worked on every single one of these cases. This is an attack on the integrity of the FBI, on the integrity of the Justice Department, and on the very foundation of our democracy. And let me be clear, it’s not just about me. It’s about the thousands, if not tens of thousands, of agents and analysts who worked on these cases.
“We’ve seen this movie before. We’ve seen this kind of thuggish behavior from the Trump administration before. And we know how it ends. It ends in rank and file, it ends in corruption, it ends in abuse of power. And it ends with damage to our country. And let me be clear, I will not stand for it. I will not let it happen on my watch, or on anyone else’s watch, for that matter. We’re not going to let them silence the FBI, we’re not going to let them silence the Justice Department, and we’re not going to let them silence the American people. We’re going to stand strong, we’re going to stand united, and we’re going to make sure that justice is served.”
