Miami Dolphins wide receiver Grant DuBose was hospitalized overnight after a scary hit during a game against the Houston Texans. The team released an update on DuBose on Monday, saying he had “movement in all extremities” and initial tests had revealed positive results. He is still under the care of doctors for continued observation.

DuBose was injured on a play where he was the target of a tough hit from Texans defensive back Calen Bullock. The quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, threw a quick pass to DuBose, who was down on the turf with Bullock realizing he had hurt him. The game was stopped for 12 minutes while medical staff assessed the situation, and DuBose was eventually cut off his jersey and pads and taken off the field on a stretcher.

Tagovailoa was visibly shaken by the play, saying “it was tough to move on after that happened.” He also acknowledged that he had put DuBose in a difficult situation. As a player who has had multiple concussions in his NFL career, Tagovailoa sympathized with DuBose’s situation.

The Dolphins released a statement saying that DuBose was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and remained there overnight. The team is expected to provide further updates on his condition in the coming days.
