The decision to have surgery marks the end of a trying season for Max Crosby, despite his stellar performance on the field. Despite leading the team with 7.5 sacks and 17 tackles for loss, tied for the top in the NFL, the Raiders are guaranteed to match their worst season record since 2011 with four games remaining.
Crosby’s ankle issues and time spent on the injury report have taken a toll, resulting in just one sack over the past six games. Despite the challenges, he remains the team’s best player, with no guaranteed money beyond his contract in 2024 and a $28.2 million cap number for next season.
Undeterred by his current situation, Crosby is confident in his ability to continue impressing on the field.
