Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs is expected to undergo season-ending surgery due to knee issues, according to NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero. The surgery is expected to address cartilage problems, and although Diggs will receive a second opinion, the expectation is that his 2024 season is over. An exact timeline for his recovery has yet to be determined.

Diggs has struggled throughout the season, missing two games and consistently being listed on the injury report. Despite this, he has still managed to record 42 tackles, two interceptions, and 11 pass break-ups in 11 games played.

The setback is particularly significant, as Diggs was an All-Pro in 2021. However, he suffered a torn ACL in training camp ahead of the 2023 season. The Cowboys have officially downgraded Diggs to out on the injury report and he will not travel with the team for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.
